this morning, i discovered a roughly pinprick sized injury on my left
knee.  this injury would have been rather insubstantial were it not for
the fact that, for some reason, i was bleeding at a rate of roughly a drop
of blood every 10 seconds as a result of it.  for an injury of that size,
this rate of blood flow seemed a bit more than usual.

i placed a band-aid over the injury and didn't think much about it.  a few
minutes later, while i was on my bed, i discovered that the blood flow
didn't seem to be significantly mitigated by the band-aid, and that i had
bled all over my bedsheets.

a friend of mine told me that the curfew at the math camp that i mentioned
in the entry dated 2003.07.04 2351h was actually at 2200h.  thanks for the
correction!

i just realized that there is a seemingly dead potted plant outside the
window.  i wonder why it's there.
