Software I've Written
Back when I was in college, I wrote a Java version of a game called "SnakeByte,"
which people of a certain age will remember having played on the old Apple II+. Click
here
to load the applet and play. You may need to enable Java in your web browser.
I worked on ten (or so) releases of Sun's Java Development Kit (JDK),
now called the Java2 Software Development Kit (J2SDK) or the
Java Standard Edition Software Development Kit (Java SE SDK),
or something like that. I really wish they would stop changing the name.
You can download recent versions at the
Sun Developer Network.
I worked on the last five or so versions of
SonicWALL Email Security,
which, unlike most software I've written, is not free.
Random Stuff
- My buddy,
Brian Wilson
, founded a company called
Backblaze.
Their software allows Windows users to automatically
back up their files to Backblaze's data center over a secure internet
connection. They provide unlimited storage - music, photos, email, anything you want -
for $5 a month. They offer a free trial, and backups happen automatically, so why not try it?
How are you doing your backups now? ;-)
- The
Friends of Stevens Creek Trail
have spent the past several years on the restoration and preservation of the creek,
and in planning and developing a multi-use trail along the creek corridor. There is a
road race
every year to benefit this project.
Resume
In
