Profile by Perry Friedman

John Coyle received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 1990. While attending Stanford, John competed internationally as a short track speedskater. However, his speedskating career saw it's highlight to date a few years after he graduated when he won a silver medal in the 5,000m relay at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Hamar, Norway. John also competed in the 500m and 1,000m individual events but did not medal.

John is also a top notch cyclist and excellent inline skater. John placed first in the National Junior Cycling Championships in 1987 and fifth the same year at the Junior World Cycling Championships. He was a member of the US National Cycling Team as well as the now defunct 7-11 Cycling Team. Coyle has also been Michigan State Cycling Champion more than a half dozen times.
