1995 - 96: Team Captain. Won the California open. Made the finals of the Las Vegas
but suffered a torn knee ligament and was forced to default to 2nd place.
Missed 2 months of competition, returning in February. Won the All-Cal
invitational. Avenged Pac-10 finals loss with an overtime win over #3
ranked Scott Norton of Oregon. Dropped to 142 for Pac-10 tournament.
Went undefeated in duals. Became the first
Stanford wrestler to record an undefeated regular season entering the Pac-10
at 18-0. Set the all-time record for most consecutive wins with 23.
Voted Team MVP by teammates and coaches.
Pac-10: Pac-10 Champion
NCAA: 7th place. 4-2 record. Lost to 2nd and 3rd placers.

1994 - 95: Sustained a severe elbow dislocation during the preseason.
Recovered quickly, to return in January, wrestling 150 the entire
season. Placed second in the Aggie
Open, fourth in the country classic. Won the All-Cal invitational.
Pac-10: Runner-up; unseeded entering the tournament. Upset #4 seed Tim Cano and #1 seed Jeff Theiler (ranked #3 nationally) to make the finals
NCAA qualifier
1993 - 94: Missed the first part of the season due to a torn hamstring.
Returned in January to wrestle at 150 pounds. Won the Country Classic.
Placed second in the Aggie Open.
Pac-10: 4th place.
NCAA qualifier: upset Willy Short (Ranked #2 nationally)
1992 - 93: Started at 150 pounds. Placed 2nd in the Aggie Open
and 5th in the Oregon Classic. In freestyle, placed 5th in the Espoir
Nationals.
Pac-10: 5th place.
Selected as AWN Freshman All-American.
1991 - 92: Redshirted, wrestling at 134 pounds. Placed 4th in
the Aggie open. In freestyle, placed 8th in the Espoir Nationals
and won the Far West Classic.
West Albany High School: Placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in 4A State championships.
Two time All-American; placed 3rd, 5th in the Freestyle and Greco-Roman Junior Nationals. Coached by Bruce Glenn.
