I am a technical project lead and senior software developer at Quia, an online resource for educators. I received my BS in computer science in 2004 from Stanford University.
My husband, Aaron, and I were married in May, 2005. We lived in Menlo Park, CA until August 2007, then spent four months in Lausanne, Switzerland, and have now been living in Boulder, CO since January 2008.
I am passionate about peace, non-violence, and education. I currently write a blog about peace-related issues, Musings on Peace, and I am exploring ways to be more active in the areas of non-violence, mediation, conflict resolution, or other peacemaking activities. I also have interests in and care about other social change issues, including sustainable living, eradicating poverty, and equality for women.
Some of my other passions include reading (see my other blog, Books and Other Miscellany, and my reading page), horseback riding (I am not currently taking lessons, but I was thrilled to learn how to jump last spring), and singing. I am currently singing with the choir at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder and in the 2008 Rocky Mountain Revels show, "A Pioneer Christmas." I have previously sung with the Stanford University Singers and the Peninsula Women's Chorus in Palo Alto.
I also enjoy many types of crafts, including sewing, embroidery, crochet, and baking. Take a look at pictures of some things I have made.
