Gnutella has the potential and the capability to completely revolutionize the way we currently interact with Internet content and applications.

Like most, if not all, technologies, Gnutella has the potential for abuse, especially in the domain of file sharing.  Some people use Gnutella for “sharing” (that is, uploading and downloading) copyrighted works, including music and movies.  However, Gnutella has significant non-infringing uses, which may outweigh its potential for abuse.

This website hopes to offer an open forum for discussion on such non-infringing uses of Gnutella.  If you would like to share how you use Gnutella, please email gnutella-uses@cs.stanford.edu.
