My resume

is available in several formats. Pick one that suits you best, the information in each one should be the same. You can also e-mail me to request that the resume be faxed.

Working for myself

  • My job for John Hancock (see below) was a contract where I was working for myself. I loved the structure and I am looking to do that in the future.
  • Not much more to say here yet.. things are highly confidential 0:--)
  • I am always looking for good programmers though. If you think you are good let me know.

Working for other people

  • Before leaving Microsoft I accepted the position of the University of Pennsylvania Student Consultant. Microsoft setup the student consultant program at forty of the best computer science schools to promote Microsoft Visual Tools. The program is working out really well at Penn thus far.
  • For the summer of 97 I accepted an internship at Microsoft Corporation. It was my first internship that wasn't a job but it was a lot of fun. I worked on the SQL Server team as part of the Storage Engine Test team. My official title was Software Design Engineer in Test. Microsoft rented us an apartment, gave us a rental car and bought us a bike. Overall it sounded like it was the best internship I have heard of. If you have questions about Microsoft, Bill Gates, life in Redmond/Bellevue, etc. let me know.
  • In the Spring of 1997 I was the teaching assistant (TA) for the OPIM 311 class at Wharton. Jim Carpenter was teaching Business Computer Languages and hired me as his TA. The neatest thing about that job was having the huge office in Steinberg/Dietrich in the middle of campus. That must have contributed quite a bit to my GPA for that semester.
  • During fall '95, spring '96, and fall '96 I graded CSE 110 homeworks and exams.
  • Till fall 96 I worked for Computing And Educational Technology Services (CETS) at the University of Pennsylvania.
  • In the summer of 1996 I worked at John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. I worked in the Investment and Pension sector on a Pension Re-Engineering system. We developed this application in a Client/Server environment using Visual C++ and Visual Basic. I spent a lot of time working with the CASE tool to fix-up the code generation. After I left about 95% of the code that used to be written was being generated automatically.
  • From May 94 till April 96 I worked for AIG.
  • In between things I have spent a lot of time working on the web site for Chase On-Line and WDFM.
  • My biggest effort on the web by far, has been the (Unofficial) Deerfield Academy Web. It has gone away, now that Deerfield has a decent Official Web Site
  • I have also been known to work for:
    • Deerfield Academy Greer Store
    • L&L Temporary Services - Mailroom clerk
    • Lincoln Discount Drug
    • Orange Julius

A more concise version of all this may be found in my resume.
