I worked on another OS, Eros, that is being developed here at Penn, at the DSL (Distributed Systems Laboratory).
After working at Microsoft during the summer of 1997 I have received a Gateway Solo 2300 LS Laptop where I run Windows NT 4.0+SP3. It is neat to have both sides of the computer world on the desktop.
I also subscribe to lots of mailing lists and newsgroups... Maybe I will list them here some time...
