This is my (Joel Brown's) minimalist home page.
I grew up in West Lafayette, IN, and then attended Harvard. After spending a year at the Max Planck Institute in Tuebingen, Germany, and a short stint working at Oracle, I entered graduate school in the Computer Science Department at Stanford.
My thesis advisor was Jean-Claude Latombe, and I was co-advised by Kevin Montgomery. Here is my research page (Note: links on this page are flaky), which describes dissertation work in the areas of Soft Tissue Simulation, Surgical Simulation, and Knot Tying Simulation. My research lab was the National Biocomputation Center.
I am currently working at Google.
