MOON

Words by RYUICHI/Music by SUGIZO/Arrangement by LUNA SEA

Kiri ni tsutsumarete, nani mo mienai.
(Being enveloped in fog, I cannot see anything.)
Kiri ga tsukuridasu shiruetto, tsuki wo omou.
(The fog creates a silhouette, I think of the moon.)

Karamawari shiteita yasashisa wa
Nido to iranai to omotteita keredo
(I thought I didn't need empty* gentleness again, but)
Ima mo toomawari shiteiru futari ga
(The couple that is on a detour even now)

Nani mo kawaranai ima dakedo hitori aruki ni tsukare
(Although nothing has changed now I am tired from walking alone)
Anata ni tsutaetai omoi bakari ga hanranshite ugokenai
(Flooded by thoughts that I want to convey to you I cannot move)

Utagoe wa todokanai anata made wa
(To you who's beyond the reach of singing voice)
Tozasareta te no hira ni "Watashi wa iru no? Watashi wo yonde."
(On my closed palm "Am I here? Call me.")

Oborogena tsuki no hikari atsumete, tozasareta sono mune ni fukaku shizumete.
(Collecting the misty moonlight, sinking deeply into that closed heart.)

Utagoe ga todoku made anata dake wo
(Until my singing voice reaches you)
Tozasareta kono mune ni fukaku shizumete
(I will submerge you** into this closed heart)

Kiri ni tsutsumarete, nani mo mienai.
(Being enveloped in fog, I cannot see anything.)
Kiri ga tsukuridasu shiruetto, anata wo omou.
(The fog creates a silhouette, I think of you.)

* karamawari suru means "run idle".
** I'm guessing that the object anata goes with the verb shizumeru. It is also possible that "anata..." is missing the verb (e.g. anata dake wo omou "think only of you") and "...shizumete" is missing the object. Actually shizumeru is a transitive verb, so my interpretation "I sink" is probably wrong anyways.
