The 3d effects require a recent WebKit nightly build on OSX Leopard or later to work properly. See the screenshot immediately below for a sample of what it would look like if you had a browser that supported CSS 3D Transforms, and scroll down further to play with the api site without 3d (or with half broken 3d in Chrome or Safari4).
