[2003.11.18 2200h] [vgame] fire emblem [nintendo game boy advance] i'm very impressed at the quality of the translation found in the above game. this video game actually had me looking words up in the dictionary, using words like "marquess", "manse", and "myrmidon". it also used other words that don't begin with an 'm', but the three words mentioned are the most interesting words used that i can remember offhand. in addition, i have yet to come across a single misspelling, grammatical error, or typo. being somewhat of a perfectionist, i tend to notice such errors all the time. however, with this game, i was pleasantly surprised with how solid the text was. i don't think i've ever played a game with text quite like this. about a week ago, i found myself a bag of sour skittles weighing nearly a pound, and i ended up eating the whole thing in roughly two days. this was a pretty stupid thing to do, as since the skittles appeared to have burnt a small patch of taste buds off my tongue. i'm assuming that this has something to do with the sourness of the skittles, because i don't recall standard skittles doing such a thing to my tongue. regardless, taste buds regenerate fairly quickly, and my tongue is doing fine now.
