biking back to my room today, i passed by a number of students talking to
trees.  my guess is that they are practicing speeches for a class, perhaps
on public speaking.  regardless, the scene was rather surreal.

the other day, i went miniature golfing with a few friends.  as we were
traversing the course, i found my bike light on a fence.  upon seeing
this, two questions immediately popped into my mind.

   1.  when did i take my bike light out of my pocket?
   2.  what was my bike light doing in my pocket in the first place?

apparently, the adventures, or rather, misadventures, of my bike light
seem to illustrate my absentmindedness during its extreme moments.

my neglected gamecube finally got some use since i also played a few hours
of video games that day.  my friends and i played phantasy star online
together.  when multiple people play that game on the same screen, the
screen is split so that each player gets a portion of the screen.  i had
never played the game on a screen split four ways before, so that was an
interesting experience.
