[2003.07.17 1546h] [music] linkin park \\ faint in this entry, i will attempt to break my habit of starting all my entries with the word "so". so far, so good. i got my midterm back for the class i'm not taking. apparently, i only missed 1 point, so i am quite happy with my performance. i do, however, after looking at the question in which i missed the point, feel that it was a somewhat unjust deduction, but i don't feel like arguing for the point, as since i am not taking this class for a grade anyway. it would have been nice, though, to have aced a midterm for a class i wasn't taking. alas. so, in high school writing classes, i was taught to try to write smooth transitions from paragraph to paragraph. however, it seems as if i can't do this easily with these diary entries, since they are usually an amalgam of random items that i happen to have thought about recently. sometimes, i tack on a "so" in front of a paragraph, as i have done with this one, in order to at least have some semblance of a transition. however, this poor tactic is really getting overused. so i think i'm just going to give up on these sad attempts at transition, and abruptly switch from subject to subject whenever i feel like it. if you, kind reader, feel as if this lack of transitions is akin to some level of blasphemy, and would much rather see poorly written transitions than none at all, please let me know. i have a playstation 2 in my room. it's plugged into the video card of my computer, so i can basically play games on it any time i want. however, the sad thing is that i rarely ever play any games with it. i seem to always be too busy doing other stuff, like keeping this diary, and going to classes i'm not enrolled in. so i rarely ever get around to playing games i really want to play. so i don't understand why role playing games are getting longer and longer. i'd say many of the popular rpgs coming out nowadays would take at least 50 hours to beat, but i wouldn't know, seeing that i don't have that much time on my hands. some rpgs seem to brag about how they have over 80 hours of gameplay. however, knowing that finishing an rpg would require at least 80 hours of my time would simply make me feel as if i shouldn't even start to play the game in the first place, as since i know i would probably never be able to finish it.
