so it seems like i have a habit of starting all my diary entries with the
word "so".  apparently, this entry will be no different.  my assumption is
that this kind of repetition is a bad thing, so perhaps the habit will be
broken in the future.  i just don't feel like breaking the habit today.

anyway, i've noticed an increase in the number of people wishing me a
happy belated birthday this year.  in fact, offhand, i can't recall anyone
ever wishing me a happy belated birthday within a few days of its passing
before.

my assumption is that this increase in belated birthday wishes is due to
the fact that i mention my birthday in my first two diary entries.  i'm
guessing that i have made quite a few friends feel somewhat guilty about
forgetting about my birthday when i sent them the url to this site.  for
those of you who did feel guilty about this, i am sorry, as that was not
my intention.

anyhow, enough about my birthday.  i've probably spent way more time on
this subject than i had planned to when i first made this diary.

so, my old computer seems to be working now.  both my wireless connection
and my webcam appear to be able to run simultaneously now, so my webcam
server project should be finished in hopefully a few days.

i went to costco today.  for those of you unfamiliar with costco, it's
basically a warehouse sized supermarket that sells other random things,
such as video game consoles, bath towels, tool kits, bicycles, and pants.

anyhow, it seems as if every time i go to costco, i buy way too much of
one category of goods.  apparently, this time, i went fruit crazy.  so if
you're in the area and you feel like some fruit, stop by my place, and you
can have a fruit feast.  mmm, yummy.
