Provided leadership in evangelizing new technology at NASA Ames Research
Center. Technology included: the Web, object-oriented programming,

Consultant serving scientists and engineers in all aspects of using a
Cray computer and Unix workstations, including Internet distributed
computing architecture and scientific visualization. Part of team that
ran the Supercomputer Center at the Naval Underwater Systems Center.
- Pioneered distributing computations and graphics between a Cray and Sun
workstation using Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) and wrappers around legacy code.
- Architected and developed, RPCX, tool for generating RPC templates.
- Researched and architected RPC communication algorithms for cooperating
parallel applications.
- Advanced use of Cray's parallel processing for scientific applications such
as CFD and FEA.
- Authored and presented several papers on distributed visualization including
