Herein may be found a (not necessarily complete) list of characters on "The Muppet Show" and "Sesame Street." The "Sesame Street" lists (and possibly "The Muppet Show" list) were compiled by Charles Evans, out of the responses to a list posted by Bob Pedersen. "Sesame Street" actor names were contributed by Reuven William Goren. Just recently, Jalink has offered many additions for "Muppet Show" special guests and Muppets from non-US countries. He also contributed all of the "Muppets Tonight!" entries. Dean M. has contributed many other outside-US Muppets. Many other people have also offered additions.

I've also started a "Sesame Street" list for Muppets found only outside the U.S.

Many of the links on this page are broken. Unfortunately, they're broken as in "page no longer exists" not "page has moved". :-( When possible, I link to an archive.org version of the page instead. This goes "back in time" to show what the page looked like last time it was active.

However, here are two links that still work: For lots more Muppet info, try the official Henson site and The Muppet FAQ.

If you want other lists of the Muppets, complete with pictures, there are two fabulous sites on the web. For The Muppet Show, there's a very complete, semi-official list at Kermitage. For Sesame Street, there's a fantastic list at The Sesame Street Encyclopedia.
