  Support UNIX managed server customers. Install machines with Solaris, DiskSuite, and Apache. Run backups using Legato Networker. Troubleshoot customer problems and deal with customer requested features. Also configure Alteon ACEdirector 180, Cisco 2924 and 2948, Annex terminal servers. Maintain NIS+, NFS, jumpstart, X terminal, and print servers.

• 08/1995 - 07/1998: Systems Software Developer, Leland Systems, Stanford University, CA

  Ran UNIX infrastructure and workstations of many operating systems including Solaris, Linux, Digital UNIX, AIX, IRIX, HPUX, Ultrix, and SunOS for 30K users with growing needs. Managed distributed e-mail system with sendmail, qpopper, cyrus IMAPd, and hesiod, upgraded new system from INN 1.4sec2 to INN 1.5.1, designed and implemented system of Sybase tables, stored procedures, and perl scripts to manage disk and print quota tracking.
